Physical distancing with sound absorption

The Swedish design company Offecct proves that physical distancing doen’t have to go together with sound reflecting perpex screens.

Sound is all around us, it's just going on and affecting us physically, mentally and cognitively. Unfortunately, acoustics is still underestimated in the fit-out and construction industry.

With knowledge about sound you can influence and shape the sound image of an interior. For the workplace, this is especially important as we become less productive in a noisy environment.

Physical distancing will be important, and we will find a balance and solutions for it. Transformations from open office to work points.

We have subconsciously and consciously adopted a new way of behaving and relating to each other. Of course, it can be about health and even survival, but we can also help and influence well-being in different ways. Sound-wise, aesthetic, and functional so we can thrive.

Return to workplace whenever it comes.

Offecct also have a variety of high furniture solutions for sound absorption and social distancing. Good sofas: Meet, Varillounge, Smallroom. Easy chairs: Float high, Oyster high, Shift high. And for solitary work; Solitaire, Moment, Layer etc.

Another good room divider and sound absorber is Soundsticks ®, which also received the Green Design Award.

The importance of smaller groups and distancing in our work environments will be a new behaviour that will persists long after the crisis.
