Social Distancing Office layout

100% CAPACITY

  • Respace desks so 2.4m apart to ensure employees spaced 2m apart back to back

  • Add high screens between opposite desks and side to side

  • No requirement for clockwise corridor route

ROTA 1 (Assigned Desks) (Minimum Disruption)

  • Space employees 2m apart

  • Capacity at desks with minimal disruption (red dots) is 32/64 (50%)

  • Capacity at desks  with screens added between opposite desks and side to side (blue dots) is 40/64 (62%)

  • Adopt ‘aeroplane behaviour’ when window seat, or end of desk run,  person needs to get out as others will have to move to keep 2m apart

  • Create a clockwise one way  corridor with people taking turns to go single file at two-way sections

  • Possibly remove meeting tables and provide lap top tables to increase capacity

NOTE: if desks are made non-assigned then the same desks can be used every day for different employees if cleaned every night. They can not be used by different employees throughout a day unless cleaned between Users

ROTA 2 (Assigned Desks) (Minimum Disruption)

  • Alternative desks can be used for a second rota

  • Capacity at desks with minimal disruption (red dots) is 32/64 (50%)

  • Capacity at desks  with screens added between opposite desks and side to side (blue dots) is 42/64 (65%)
